Wednesday, November 30, 2016 The Nugget Newspaper, Sisters, Oregon 15 Get your pet photo with Santa Santa Claus will be posing for photos with all his furry friends on Saturday, December 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The location of the annual event is at the Sisters Art Works building, 204 W. Adams Ave. The photos will be shot inside, but the lineup may be outside, so dress warmly. The pet-photo session is part of the annual open house at Sisters Art Works, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring a wide vari- ety of artists and crafters, including Kathy Deggendorfer, Tonye Phillips, Al Krause, Kit Stafford, Lynn Woodward and more. (See related story, page 14.) Proceeds from the pet-photos session go to support Furry Friends’ food drive, a year-round pet-food bank and assistance with getting pets spayed and neutered. For families in need, helping take care of their pets takes a major stress off their shoulders. The Sisters community has done just that ever since 1992, supporting the Furry Friends Pet Food Drive, held in conjunction with the Kiwanis holiday food-share program and the Sisters-Camp Sherman fire department’s annual toy drive. Since its inception, the program has helped more than 6,000 animals and made the holiday season that much brighter for countless Sisters families.
