She’s also a two-sport threat in soccer and track. She doesn’t have a lot of down-time. “I just really enjoy being involved and I like to keep myself busy,” she says. “Especially when it’s a fun busy. I really love this school, so it’s really fun to be involved in all the things that it has to off er.” On the academic side, Sabrina especially enjoys her health classes. “Th e medical fi eld is what I’m in- terested in going into next fall,” she says. She has not settled on a college yet, but is looking to major in health sciences or exercise science. “Sabrina Refschneider is a gift to the Sisters school community. In 20+ years of working with high school students, Sabrina is one of the most positive stu- dent athletes I have ever met. Her kind- ness, upbeat attitude, and work ethic has earned her respect from her teachers, coaches, and fellow students. Th ank you, Sabrina … for all you give to the Sisters community.” –Tim Roth “Congratulations to Sabrina, a great selection as the SHS Student of the Month. I haven’t even had Sabrina in actual class since her freshman year, but I still feel qualifi ed to comment on her qualifi cations as an all-round contributor in the school. Sabrina is always smiling, always polite, always helpful. She is the kind of student that helps out wherever there is a need, whether she is ‘supposed to’ or not. Th anks for keeping SHS a positive place, and keep smiling, Sabrina!” – Rob Corrigan “We have a strong groups of seniors who care about the school and the culture; it’s truly a diffi cult decision. Yet, Sabrina is certainly a deserving student because she has a pure heart and she’s so involved in our school. She’s active in athlet- ics, with our student government and maintains a very high grade- point-average. She has the ability to put people in a better mood by just being around her. Sabrina is a blessing to our school, and we’re grateful for her positive impact and her ‘can-do’ spirit.” – Joe Hosang “Sabrina is the most genu- inely happy soul I have ever been around. Her positive attitude, her smile and her selfl ess actions are real. In the classroom, she contrib- utes in a way that makes others feel comfortable and encourages them to participate. She pushes herself to look beyond the literal and to consistently produce quality work. As an IEE intern, she eff ectively leads, push- ing students to be the best that they can be. Th is young lady is a positive role model for many reasons. Her presence makes a diff erence.” – Samra Spear “What a great girl! Sabrina has the most infectious smile and attitude. She is up for anything, is not critical, and has a sharp and discerning mind. She is also one of the kindest students I’ve had the pleasure of teaching. Congratulations, Sabrina!” – Bethany Gunnarson These businesses have joined The Nugget in supporting our youth and their accomplishments by co-sponsoring the Student of the Month program.
