Horizon Band concerts are free

The 21st annual Country Fair
& Art Show, August 12 & 13,
features juried art show, silent
auction, book sale, children’s

the Fair (including the art show)

SHS Freshmen Orientation
Monday, August 29, new
student orientation at Sisters
High School is from 7:45
a.m. to 3 p.m. for incoming
freshman. There will be large-
and small-group activities
(team-building, discussion skills,
etc.). After lunch, students
receive locker assignments and
run through a short version of
their schedule. Bus routes run
in the morning and afternoon
(route times are on the district

Run for City Council
In the November 8 General
Election there will be open
positions on the Sisters City
Council. To run you must be
registered to vote in Oregon
and a resident of the City of
Sisters for 12 months preceding
the election. Candidates should
pick up materials at Sisters City
Hall by Tuesday, August 16 and
must submit perfected petitions
by 5 p.m. Tuesday, August
30 to qualify for the ballot.
