The Sisters-Camp Sherman
Fire Department will offer the
American Heart Association
“Heartsaver” First Aid and CPR

“Crest the Cascades” Ride
The annual Crest the Cascades
Bike Ride over the McKenzie
Pass (formerly the Ride for
Two Rivers), takes place on
Saturday, June 18, offering both
a long course (57.6 miles) and
summit course (26.8 miles).
Cost is $40 and includes an
end-of-ride hot meal and live
music with The Anvil Blasters.

seeking items for their annual
fundraising sale, July 15-17.

FOSL Annual Book Sale
The annual book sale by
Friends of the Sisters Library
will be held on Quilt Show
Saturday, July 9 from 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. outside the library.
Most books are like-new and
offered for $1 or less. Fiction,
nonfi ction, children’s books,
DVDs and CDs are available;
quilting and special-interest
books are competitively priced.

Street Closures for Parade
For the Sisters Rodeo Parade
on Saturday, June 11, Cascade
Avenue will be closed from
9:30 a.m. to about 10:45 a.m.
Pine Street will be closed from
Cascade to Barclay Drive, only
open for parade participants.
Larch Street and Main Avenue
will be closed once the parade
begins. Side streets are open for
parking, and fl aggers will direct
traffi c once the parade has

The 76th annual Sisters Rodeo
begins with Xtreme Bulls on
Wednesday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m.
Slack is free to the public on
Thursday, June 9 at 8 a.m.,

on Cascade Avenue Saturday

Harp Music for Habitat
Thursday, June 9 at 7 p.m. at
the Episcopal Church of the
Transfi guration, “Harp3” Harp
Ensemble will perform with
Renaissance Sisters Recorders,
vocalists Marilyn Anthony &
Julie Cash, and guest harpist
Laura Zaerr. The musicians
will perform a light-hearted
program celebrating summer
and napping and will gladly
accept donations in lieu of
admission, to benefi t Sisters

AARP Driver’s Safety
AARP’s Driver Safety Course,
a classroom refresher for
motorists 50 and older, will
be offered on Tuesday, June
14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at
Sisters Community Church.
This includes the “We Need to
Talk” Series on how to have the
conversation when elder loved
ones should no longer drive.
There will be a one-hour lunch

Outlaw Open
The annual Outlaw Open
will be held Friday, June 17 at
Aspen Lakes Golf Course. The
scramble begins with a 1 p.m.
shotgun start. The tournament
includes a dinner, live auction,
plus a dance and performance
by the High Street Band. $130
per golfer includes dinner,
auction, and entertainment.
If not golfi ng, enjoy dinner
and entertainment for $30 per
person, or just the High Street
Band performance and dance
