Sisters Shootout Tourney
The Sisters Shootout is a
premier youth basketball
tournament for boys and girls
grades 5-8 from all across

City Seeks Volunteer
The City of Sisters is accepting
applications for a volunteer
(in-city or out-of-city) to serve
on the Planning Commission
(term expires June 2018). The
commission reviews major
land-use applications, advises
the City Council on planning
policies and more, and meets
at 5:30 p.m. the third Thursday
each month. Applications are

Forum on Facilities Needs
at Sisters Schools
The Sisters community is
invited to learn about local
school facilities needs and
discuss solutions in a forum
on Thursday, January 14 at
6:30 p.m. in the Sisters Middle
School cafetorium (another
forum is set for Monday,
January 25 at Sisters Elementary
School). Sisters School District
staff and offi cials will lay out
the needs faced by the district
to repair, maintain, and update
school facilities; take questions
from the public; and solicit

Celebrity Grocery Bagging
On Saturday, January 9 from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ray’s
Food Place, the SHS girls
basketball team will be bagging

Card with $100+ in discounts

Exhibit will accept submissions

a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the library;
up to two pieces of wall-hung
art (30x40" max) or fi ve items

an Art Exhibit Agreement and
provide a one-page biography.

a cream-colored poodle with a long
tail. He ran away from a friend’s home
in Bend on Christmas Day. Louie is
wearing a collar with tags, and was
last seen in Tumalo; he’s believed to
be trying to get home to Sisters. Help

Meet GINGER! She’s a feisty
little orange tabby on the hunt
for a forever home. She was
surrendered because her owner
was allergic; Ginger also wasn’t
fi tting in with another feline in the
home. Because of this, Ginger
would do best as either a single
cat, or with felines that are savvy
and friendly with other cats.
Ginger has been around dogs
and has done well with them.
