Holidays
In Sisters Country 2015
The community tree is lit; Santa
Claus has come to town (for his first
of several visits). Sisters’ finest have
paraded down Main Avenue.
It’s officially Christmas season!
Whether you live here year-round,
have a second home here, or are just
visiting for the holidays, Sisters is
your hometown at Christmastime.
Put aside the hustle and bustle and
take time to smell the cider. There
are places where you can slow down,
take a moment to enjoy a hot cup of
winter cheer in front of a roaring
fire; places where strangers become
friends and friends become family.
There’s plenty to enjoy during the
countdown to the big day. Local craft
bazaars offer up the wares of extraor-
dinarily talented local artisans, while
the air is filled with the joyful music
of Sisters’ many musicians.
Your pets aren’t left out, either.
Get a keepsake photo with Santa
(told you he was coming back) and
buy an ornament that adds whimsy
to your tree while helping local furry
friends.
Sisters also works hard to help
those in need. Donate to the Sisters
Kiwanis Food Bank or buy See’s
Candies from the Kiwanis and
help support their many outreach
programs.
Turn the page to find out more
about these events and other inter-
esting news about the holidays in
Sisters Country.
Going holiday shopping in Sisters
isn’t like going to the mall. Here,
you are dealing with mom-and-pop
shopkeepers who offer a nice dose of
holiday hospitality to go along with
a selection of unique gifts.
Take some time to explore Sisters
this holiday season, and enjoy a
classic Christmas in our own winter
wonderland.
