Radio Experience
All are invited to step into the
past when SCORE performs
at The Belfry on Wednesday,
October 21 at 7 p.m. The
players will perform two
live-radio broadcasts from My
Friend Irma and Escape. Many
of the sound effects will be
created on stage. Donations

Fish Biologist to Speak
On Thursday, October 22 at
7 p.m. at the Sisters Fire Hall,
Sisters Trails Alliance presents
Fish Biologist Michael Riehle,
who will discuss salmon and
steelhead habitat restoration on

Halloween at the Fire Hall
Spooks, goblins, and kids are
invited to a howling good time
at the Sisters-Camp Sherman
Fire Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. on
Saturday, October 31. Come

venture into the haunted maze
at the annual Halloween event.
There will be refreshments,
prizes, and candy for all the
trick-or-treaters. Grab your

will offer the AHA “Heartsaver”

a Caregivers Support Group

Alateen in Sisters
Beginning this week, on
Thursday, October 22, Alateen
meetings will now take place
at 7 p.m. every Thursday at
The Episcopal Church of the
Transfi guration. These meetings
are for teens affected by the
alcohol or substance abuse of
someone in their life, to be able
talk with other teens in a safe
and confi dential setting. For

Annual Halloween Parade
Sisters Halloween Parade,
sponsored by the Rotary Club
of Sisters, will take place on
Friday, October 30 at 3 p.m.
at Fir Street Park (note venue
change due to construction at
Village Green). Kids up to age
10 must be in costume and
accompanied by their parent
or caregiver. Costumes are
required for kids, along with
a registration form available at
the Sisters Library. A donation
of a non-perishable item for
the Sisters Food Bank is also

Soup’s On!
The National Empty Bowls
Project takes place Tuesday,
November 3 at 6 p.m. at the
Sisters High School cafeteria.
SHS students and local potters
create the bowls; you fi ll it
with soup, and leave with a
keepsake! All proceeds go to
Sisters Family Access Network
to provide resources and
emergency services to local
families. First come, fi rst serve
to purchase a bowl for $10,
$15, or $20 (or just $5 for soup
only in a cafeteria bowl). With
bread, cookies & lemonade!

Operation Christmas Child
collects and delivers shoeboxes
fi lled with toys, hygiene items,
school supplies, etc. to millions
of needy children around the
world, bringing a message
of hope and love. A packing

November 15. Food will be
served and the community is
