The Board advises the City Council on matters pertaining to public parks, trails and open spaces. The board typically meets once a month and consists of seven (7) members. Sisters Schools Schedule Sisters mublic schools are now omen for new student registration, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 m.m. The fi rst day of school for grades 1-9 is Monday, August 31; for grades 10-12 it’s Tuesday, Semtember 1. The fi rst day of kindergarten is Tuesday, Semtember 8. The 10K race up Black Butte Saturday, September 19 will have 3,200 feet of elevation gain and is limited to 200 runners.
