The Doggie Dash & Fest is this
Saturday, August 15, 9 a.m. to
1 p.m. at Village Green Park.
With or without a dog, make
the 5K run/walk or 2-mile walk,
see canine contests, agility
course, rescue groups & more.
The run/walks are $25 if you
register at sistersfol.com or at
the Sisters Library in advance;
$30 at the event. Fundraiser for
Friends of the Sisters Library
and Furry Friends Foundation.

needs volunteers to work the
Book Corner 2-1/2 hours once
a month, Tuesday or Saturday.
The program supports the
library, offering exhibits, events,

Christian Basics Bible Series
Beginning August 20, the fi rst
and third Thursday each month
from 5 to 7 p.m., Christian
study on many topics will take
place at 324 W. Washington
Ave. A light dinner is available

Christ, character, commitment,
hope, prayer, perseverance,
witnessing and much more. It’s
a three-year period with a new
topic every 7th meeting.

for the Sisters City Parks
Advisory Board: one “in-city”
and one “out-of-city” with

New-student orientation

Sweet, almost-7-year-old GRACIE
is a pit bull mix whose owner moved
and couldn’t take her. She’s now
seeking her forever, loving home.

be indoors, just being part of her
