18 Wednesday, May 6, 2015 The Nugget Newspaper, Sisters, Oregon Almost ready... Heritage USA has new owner By Jim Cornelius News Editor Chelsie Hoyt-Gloeneckner has embarked on a new adventure. After being a vendor at Heritage USA, Chelsie took over ownership last week as Wanda and Craig Waters step away from the business they have operated since 2008. “We’re going to travel the United States and Canada in our motor home,” Wanda explained. Heritage USA has been in Sisters for 27 years (25 years under that name). Some 40- to 50 vendors are established at the antique marketplace and home and garden décor purveyor. “I’ve been a vendor since (Wanda) bought it,” Hoyt- Gloeneckner said. “Wanda’s really made it flourish since she’s owned it, and I intend to keep it that way.” That means continuing to do just what the Waters’ have done — with no significant changes. Longtime employee Michelle Putre will remain onboard. What the Waters have done over the past seven years has worked, drawing loyal repeat customers from Sisters Country — and all points of the compass. Wanda and Craig deeply appreciate the support their business has received over the years. “I really, really appreciate and thank everybody,” Wanda said. “I’ve tried to do that in person.” While the Waters plan to travel, Sisters will remain their home base and Wanda will keep a booth at Heritage photo provided Chelsie Hoyt-gloeneckner has taken ownership of Heritage USa from Wanda and Craig Waters. USA. Hoyt-Gloeneckner noted that she “grew up on the counter at Hoyt’s” Hardware and Building Supply. She plans to carry on that family business tradition. “I have two little girls I hope to raise up in the business as well,” she said. “I hope to teach them that mamas go to work.” Heritage USA — the mar- ketplace for antiques, col- lectibles, gifts, and home & garden — is located at 253 E.
