Abel Gablnska, a Russian 24 years of age, was arrested last night, after )xo had attempted to shoot a man named Frank Adams, whom he had npvor seen before. Ho fired several shots at the police offi cers who took him to the station. He edeclared to the police, after being arrested, that ho had been sent toChIcago by a society In St. Louis, with Instructions to "kill fat and pros porous looking men." A paper found In his pocket contained the names of Mayor Carter H. Harrison and Alder man Henoro H. Palmer. He would not admit that ho Intended to assas sinate theso two men, but said his In structions made It necessary to kill "five fat and prosperous men."
