The Koyukuk Is a tributary or the Yukon, emptying into the north sldo or that big river about 500 miles up rrom St. Michaels. Ho was up the Koyukuk some 000 miles from Its mouth, and says there urc good dig gings all the way along. Captain Young, of Portland, has tho pilots' dredge Lavcllo Young tied to the bank about 715 miles from the Yu kon. He found the vessel impractic able as a dredger, and docs not use her ror her work, but the crew has good placer diggings and arc doing well.
