The entire ecu tral-castern part of the great marble pile, from the main Door to tho sub tcrrancau basement, practically Is a iimbs of ruins. Tho torco of the ex plosion wus so heavy that the coping stones on the outer walls, just cast of tl.e point where tho explosion oc curred, were bulged out nearly two Inches, und locked doors were forced from their hinges quite 150 feet from the scene of It.
