VOWS USED PARTS At a meeting held last Tuesday evening at the C. W. Reberger home D. R. Degross was elected as presi dent of the Nyssa Townsend club for the coming year. Other officers elected are: vice president. Mr. Reberger; treasurer. Mrs. C. Klln- kenberg; secretary, Mrs. A. V. Pruyn. The latter two were reelect ed. The club reports that 330 signers have been secured to their petition and sent to headquarters. They ex- pet to get a good many more. Plans were made for an old time chili feed to be held on the evening of Jauary 12th In the basement of the Community Church with every one invited. Berkley Baker who recently came to Oregon Is building a new house close to the Nelly home. IRONSIDE NEWS The Christmas entertalment given by the children of the Ironside and Grouse Creek schools was exceeding ly good and enjoyed by every cme present. The teachers. Miss Mary Weir and Mrs. Floyd Howard de- ;erve much credit. The Xmas tree was beautiful and much to the de light of all youngsters old Santa was there and every olhld was pre sented with a generous bag of candy and nuts and an orange. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Lofton and Miss Verla Prescott of Vale spent Xmas at Monument with their mother. Mr. and Mrs. Frances Cammann spent Xmas with relatives at West- fall. Miss Mary Weir left on Thursday to spend the holidays at her home In Big Bend. Miss Hazel Rose of Vale Is a holi day guests of her cousin Miss Ina Rose. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Van Cleave and children spent Xmas at the Paul Engle home at Hereford. Mesdames Elmer Molthan and Fred Laurance served a sumptuous ROCKVILLE NEWS Mrs Maud Greeley and Mrs. Verla Green made a trip to Caldwell Tues day. The Lee Strode family were called to Nampa last Tuesday by the death of Mr. Strode's nephew, Ernest Strode, who was drowned while working on a dredge. Norman McKenzie is making a new road to hls ranch from the Rockville postoffice. Clarence Mullinlx Is very much Improved and has recently left the hospital A bridge crew has been very busy the past week repairing a bridge on Spring Creek at the school house. A gravel crew of five trucks and a shovel are graveling the road on Cow Creek. Norman McKenzie Is feeding his rattle at the Bill Leake ranch on Succor creek this winter. H. O. Miller, resident malntaln- ance engineer was In this vicinity on business Wednesday. Rockville was visited by a rain and snow storm Wednesday. Several of the Rockville folks at tended the Christmas program given by the school children on Cow Creek Friday night at the grange hall. Andrew Cunningham Is feeding hls cattle at the home ranch on Spring creek and Cotton creek. Angus Mclvers was In Rockville Monday on business. He Is feeding his sheep near Caldwell. A large crowd attended the dance and program at the Mullinlx home Saturday. Janet and Stewart McKenzie ar rived home for the holidays Satur day. Miss Wilson left for her home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Greeley. Kenneth Green returned to hls work on Jordan Creek Monday. He Intended driving hls car as far as the Knight ranch and from there on will make the trip by sled. He re ports about two foot of snow there. John Beltzor returned to hls home Wednesday from the horse camp where he has been gathering wild horses with a number of other men. He reports about 90 head of horses gathered while there. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Green and baby made a trip to Meridian Wed nesday. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Masonholder spent the holidays with relatives In Caldwell.
