A cut Is being dredged In on Oak
street by Mr, Adams, and It would
he u matter of perhaps three or four
days work at a coht of only )200 or
(300 to make a cut on Second street
and one on Third street to Walnut,
connecting with the cut now being
made on Oak street. The dlstanco
to be dredged on each of tho streets
mentioned would be approximately
SCO feet, and would enable tho sow
erago to escape Into deep water.
It Is the most Inexpensive way yet
offered to rid the city of danger from
these two localities, and It Is hoped
that the Council will sco fit to secure
the services of tho dredge while It
can be had.
