It ic her received a telegram from San Francisco Molality stating that S. Peyser was very sick, jind request ed that his daughter and grand daughter came down at once. Mrs. PieU'r and daughter Dorothy start ed on Tuesday's southern stage. Latkk. Mr. Pielier telegraphed Tusdjiy to tind out how Mr. Peyser whs, and the answer came back that lie had died Suuday night. No furtlier particulars were learned. Samuel Peyser was about 76 years old, and was well known in lake view where he was a resident for a number of yoirs. He was a very small dignified man. and he will bo greatly missed by his friends. Three children survive the deceased, Pave and Abe Peyser and Mrs. A. Pleber. The liereaved relatives have the sympathy of many friends. The new Oregon Code, compiled by Judge C. It. Pellinger and W. W. Cotton. Is in two volumes, and com prises K0 pages. The general ar rangement of the Code is practically the same as Hill's Code of 1!2.
