Having received information, which seems to he reliable, that smallpox prevail-, in linker City, a special meeting of the city council was called for .Monday evening, to tale steps to prevent its spread to tills camp. I he committee on health and police was instructed to confer with local physicians, relative to the appoint ment of a city physician.
