North Finger Complex Allotment Management Plans
The Blue Mountain Ranger District, is soliciting comments
for a 15-day scoping period on the North Finger Complex
Allotment Management Plans. The analysis area includes six
livestock grazing allotments; Donaldson, Deer Creek, Indian
9PKNL/HTPS[VU2PUN6U6ɈHUK/PNO^H`;OPZWYVQLJ[
proposal is to continue livestock grazing within the North
Finger Complex boundaries. The North Finger Complex is
located in Grant County approximately 22 miles northwest

The Blue Mountain Ranger District proposes to continue
authorization of livestock grazing on allotments within the
North Finger Complex using adaptive management strat-
egies designed to meet the Malheur National Forest Land
and Resource Management Plan standards and guidelines.
,SLTLU[ZPU]VS]LK^P[O[OLWYVWVZLKHJ[PVUPUJS\KL!WHZ[\YL
grazing rotation strategies implemented so that vegetation
in each pasture is allowed to mature and set seed, construc-
tion of wildlife friendly fence better manage riparian habitats
in the Donaldson allotment, and installing water develop-
TLU[Z[VWYV]PKLVɈZP[LSP]LZ[VJR^H[LYPU[OL+VUHSKZVU
Hamilton, King, and Indian Ridge allotments.
