Geo. E. Lundburg will go to In
dianapolis as a representative ot Hll
lah temple. Order ot the Mystic
Shrine to attend the aesslou ot the
Imperial Counuil. Mr. Lundburg
went to Portland last night and
leaves 'Portland Tuesday worulng on
a special train ot five coaches which
will be increased to eight coaches at
Seattle, a complete Shrine train
even to the train crews. Mr, Lund
burg will also, spend some time in
Chicago and at several points In Ne
braska and South. Dakota. He ex
pects to ibe absent about a month.

Mr. and Mrs. IV, E. Veatcb and
son, of Montasuno, Wash., were
Grants Pass visitors today. Mr.
Veatch published a newspaper at
Monteeano for seven years, but re
cently sold out. He will visit Cal
ifornia and the East, after which he
will return to the coast country and
again engage in the newspaper business.

The drivers ot three different cars
have been notified by the police to
appear before Recorder Allyn and
pay fines. These drivers, says Chief
of Police McLane, are all young men
and were caught scorching last
evening. In addition to (his, five
young boys were found out "after
hours," and one Young (America was
discovered with a cigarette In his
mouth. The "kids" were given a
sharp reprimand for staying out too
late, while the Young America was
told to leave the filthy weed alone
or take the consequences. Under
the new time fcoys are allowed to re
main on the streets until 10 o'clock.
