Public Hearing Notice
The City of Independence is
completing a microenterprise
project funded with Communi-
ty Development Block Grant
funds from the Oregon Busi-
ness Development Depart-
ment. The location of the proj-
ect is 555 S. Main St., Inde-
pendence. It is estimated the
project has benefited at least
40 persons of whom 80% are
low or moderate income.
A public hearing will be held
by the city council at 7:30 p.m.
on Tuesday, December 8, 2015,
at Independence Civic Center,
555 S. Main St. The purpose of
the hearing is for the city
council to obtain citizen views
about the project and to take
comments about the local gov-
ernment's performance. Writ-
ten comments are also wel-
come and must be received by
December 8, 2015, 5:00p.m. at
555 S. Main St. Both oral and
written comments will be re-
viewed by the city council.
The location of the hearing
is accessible to the disabled.
