The Wolves lost to Seattle Pacific 83-76 on Thursday, snapping a nine-game winning streak, be- fore de- feating Montana S t a t e Billings 72- 64 on Sat- Sarhan urday. Andy Avgi scored a game- high 19 points Thursday against the Falcons and Devon Alexander added 18 points. But Seattle Pacific went on a 15-4 run with 13:02 left in the second half to build a 10-point. Chad Price scored 22 points to lead the Pirates. Troy Trembly hit three 3- pointers to finish with nine points. Perr y- dale start- ed fast, building a 26-3 lead in the first Price quarter and never relented. “We shot the best I have seen us shoot in three years,” Pirates coach Mike Lowry said. “We moved the ball well against the zone. We got open looks and knocked down shots.” Haylen Janesofsky added eight points as Perrydale made 23 field goals, while holding Monroe to just five. “The kids played really well,” Lowry said. “There were some things we can tighten up on defense, but overall it was a good game.” DALLAS DROPS NON- LEAGUE GAMES: Dallas fin- ished its nonleague season with a pair of losses, falling to McMin- nville 52-41 on Dec. 30 and West Salem 64- 57 on Sat- urday. Isaak Tichenor scored 13 points to lead the Tichenor Dragons against McMinnville, while Everett Mi- nahan added 10 points. Against West Salem, Spencer McCarron scored a team-high 13 points and Hayden Broadus added 11 points. Dallas pulled to within 46-43 of West Salem entering the fourth quarter after outscor- ing the Titans 16-7 to open the second half. But the Titans hit 10 of 12 free throws in the final pe- riod to hold off the Dragons (4-5 overall). C E N T R A L FA L L S TO MOUNTAIN VIEW: Playing its first game in nearly two weeks, Central returned to the hardwood on Saturday, falling to top-ranked Moun- tain View 58-42 in Bend. Kaj Bansen led the Panthers with 10 points. Jarrett Landers and Madison Stepp added six points each in the losing ef- fort. Central (5-3 overall) had the advantage at the free- throw line, but made 10 fewer field goalsas the Pan- thers fell behind 14-6 after the first quarter and could not rally the rest of the game. FALLS CITY DROPS TWO: Falls City’s boys basketball team dropped a pair of games at the Alsea Tin Hat Tourna- ment. The Mountaineers fell to Alsea 49-35 on Friday before losing to Santiam Christian 60- 28 JV on Saturday. No details were provided.
