"I am so sorry." That's what University of Ore-
gon's Jordan Bell tweeted minutes after the Ducks
ended their historic run during the NCAA tourna-
ment. The Ducks fell to North Carolina 76 to 77.
Bell has continued to take the blame for the
Duck's tough loss after missing two free throws
that may have made the difference in the slim
margin of victory for North Carolina. However,
students and instructors alike have taken to Twit-
ter to comfort the distressed star noting that, with-
out Bell, the Ducks would have never seen the
Final Four.
The Ducks led the game at the start of the half
but by the time the teams retreated before start-
ing the second, UO trailed and after coming back
to nearly tie the game after being seven points
down with fi ve mintutes on the clock, Bell and
the Ducks fell short.
UO ended their 13.1 point season as the 10
best record in the country before heading to the
NCAA.
The trip to the Final Four marked the fi rst for
the team since 1939 when the Ducks took home
the championship.
