Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative
— What’s worth five cents, but makes more
change than you can count? Returning your
bottles and cans. Oregon’s bottle bill means a
clean environment, Oregon jobs and new prod-
ucts from recycled containers. And that’s just
the beginning. Oregon Beverage Recycling
Cooperative acts on behalf of beverage distrib-
utors to administer Oregon’s bottle bill. It col-
lects and recycles 1.2 billion containers each
year. The entire process is funded and man-
aged by the beverage and grocery industries –
at no cost to taxpayers.
Oregon State Parks — We know that every-
one loves to visit Oregon’s beautiful parks. We
want to show you how to have fun and help us
keep our parks green and beautiful for years to
come. Park Rangers will be at the fair all day
teaching fun tips and tricks to make your next
park visit a blast. Kids, look for a special
appearance from JR Beaver, Oregon State
Park’s mascot, from noon to 1 p.m. Families,
stop by our booth and learn about the Oregon
State Park’s “Let’s Go” program, where your
family can spend a weekend learning the
basics of camping from our team of expert
campers and enjoy one of Oregon’s many
amazing state parks.
Pampered Chef — Our booth at the Green
Fair will have a variety of products for healthy
living. There will be natural bamboo fiber prod-
ucts, cooking tools for home cooking, reusable
storage and other earth-friendly kitchen items.
Protect Florence Aquifer — Stop by Protect
Florence Aquifer to learn about the fragile
nature of the North Florence Dunal Aquifer,
drinking water source for both City of Florence
and Heceta Water PUD customers. It is the only
sole source aquifer in the state of Oregon. The
aquifer is currently in danger from a variety of
sources including an 80-acre forestry project
within the aquifer involving large applications of
herbicides. The spraying began in 2013 and
continues for at least four more years. We have
the right to pure, safe drinking water and need
to work together to help protect it. Our commu-
nity’s health and economic vitality is at stake.
Real Food Co-op is a member-owned co-op
open to the public. Our mission is to provide
healthy and nutritious food, emphasizing local-
ly and sustainable grown products at a reason-
able cost. We provide bulk items, such as nuts,
seeds, dried fruit, beans, grains, flours, vine-
gars and oils. We proudly support local farms
that produce chemical-free meats, and we don’t
support any products containing GMOs.
