Pope reports a partial failure of ' crop particularly fruits and upland hay. The bottom hay will be plentiful The West Shore should be patronized by every one. It is a prime necessity of Oregon, not merely an ornament. Mr. Watkins has bought the John Ayres' house on Honesty Hill, and will have it repaired, and a big addition made to it. Mr. Harris, of Columbia City is the master workman. The Joseph Kellogg will make an ex cursion on Monday to the Klickitat Prairie on the ht-ad waters ol the Cowlitz. Capt. Habersham, a Government official will be on Ijoard. A splendid time is anticipated. The ManzaniUo makes trips every Monday and Friday to Astoria and every Wednesday to Clatskanie.
