The Hood River team were not to be denied as they fought back right to the final buzzer at which time they were leading by four with just three minutes to play. Leading the scoring for the Buf faloes was Todd McGuire who scored 19, Williams 10, Cordill 8, Nordmark7, Whipple 2, Beamer2, Stacona 1. The top scorer for the Hood River team was Nay 13, Hart 10, McGonical 8, Weakly 3, Lewis 2, Shaull 2, Stassen 2. In the game with White Salmon the Buffs were in for some rumble as the Bruins were here to play ball. Again it was the hot hand of Todd McGuire who kept the Buffs in the game as he poured in a total of 27 points for the night. He just about done everything there was in the game including fouling at times. McGuire was called for three quick fouls and he was pulled out of the game and everything just coasted along with no big plays and a lot of turnovers. The game was a good one for those who have good hearts. Nordmark put the game out of reach by sinking his one for one at the foul line. Following McGuire in scoring for the Buffs was Ron Blincoe 8, Williams 8, Stacona 6, Nordmark 6, Whipple 3 and Wiles 2. The Buffs came out the winners of their invitational basketball tour nament with Hood River second White Salmon and Crook County. At press time the Buffs have gone to Wahtonka to play another non league came on Tuesday night and on the 19 and 20, they will travel to enter the Gladstone basketball tour nament in the Tri-Valley League.
