day by officer A. L. Morelock for
passing a street car in his automobile
while the car was taking on and dis
charging passengers. Mr. Bennett put

corder's court Friday morning at 10

rect service with Belgium, through
restoration of its special wire from

war in August, 1914. The restoration
of its direct connection with Belgium
along with the recent restoration of
its Dutoh connections reestablishes
the European cable connections of
the Western Union as they were be
fore the war, its direct service with
England and France not having been
interrupted.

Huckestein, who Is one of the leaders
in the war savings stamp drive being
conducted in Marion county by the
local lodge of Elks, the campaign is
meeting with more success than was
at first expected. A large number of
small subscriptions are coming in
dally, and the larger subscriptions, of

swelling the total appreciably. The
drive will last until the first of the
