Last Friday evening several of the
good ladies of this city put up a job
on the editor hereof and his wife by
escorting about 50 of the town peo

of celebrating our tenth aniversarv.

Segerdahl very courteously tendered
the use of his dining hall for the ev
ening, where supper was set, after
which the editor procured the ser
vices of those splendid musicians,
AVoolsev and Maev, and those? that
liked 'tripped the light fantastic toe.
It was quite a surprise and Mr. and
Mrs. Sliejmerd herewith present the
kindest wishes and thanks to their
friends on the occassion and espec
ially would they thank J. Segerdahl,
J. AVoobscy aud C. Maey for extreme
favors shown.

for Portland last Tuesday to inter
view President Hayes, Secretary
Ramsey and other authorities in re

settlement of the Reservation. It is
a sensible visit and no doubt they
will succeed in getting soldiers sta
tioued at Harney. The President
