self abuse. This solitary vice, or depraved
sexual indulgence, is praciced by the youth
o f both sexes to an almost unlimited extent,
producing with unerring certainty the fol­
lowing train o f m orbid symptoms, unless
combatted by scientific medical measures,
viz: «allow countenauce, dark spots under
the eyes, pains in the head, ringing in the
ears, noise like rustling o f leaves or rattling
o f chariots, uneasiness about the loins, weak­
ness o f the limbs, confused vision, blunted
intellect, loss of confidence in approaching
straugers, a dislike to form new acquaintan­
ces, a disposition to shun society, loss o f
memory, pimples and various eruptions
about the face, hectic flushes, furred tongue,
foetid breath, night sweats, monomania and
frequently insanity. If relief he not obtained,
should apply immediately either in person
or by letter, and have a cure effected by his
new and scientific mode o f treating this dis­
ease, which never fails in effecting a quick
and radical cure.
