(Special) As the little train pulls up at ihx station a Lone Beach you can hear a buzz-.-z, fur the little resort Is filled up and the place Is like a bee hive. The new bath-house la an attraction which holds the Interest of all the Tountr folk and the older ones like tc watch, anvwav. Motor parties to the resort are the feature here now. scarcely a day passing that someone does not arrive In an automobile to spend a few days viewing the beautiful country about the mountain or to bathe in tWe ocean surf off the beach. Many parties have also arrived on horseback, the most re cent being a party, members of the Hunt Club of Portland, who spent two days here. The party included Mr and Mrs. R. H. Jenkins. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Murphy, the Misses Flanders. R. L. Glisan and Harry Kerron. The party arrived, on the way to Sea side, by way of the Wilson River road from Portland, having stopped over at many of the beach resorts along the way. Bridge parties In the living-room of the hotel by the big fireplace form an attractive diversion for the guests here. The "Sunparlor" is a favorite place for young and old during the evenings, and dancing and games of all kinds occupy much of the time of the guests when tired of tramping In the woods or along the beach. William T. Foster, president of Reed Institute, with Robert Strong and Al bert Doyle, walked Into the resort from Arch Cape Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Dan J. Malarkey. Miss Margaret, Neil J. and Thomas Malarkey motored into the resort early last week and remained for several days. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Bowles came in Monday, and Mr. and Mrs. Ireland and Glenn Ireland arrived at the resort early In the week ln their automobiles. A favorite diversion with the chil dren here is a ride on one of the Span ish donkeys. Both of the two donkey, here are almost constantly ln demand for trips up ami down the beach. These trips are also patronized Dy tne iu people, after the manner of the grand father' who takes the small children to the circus. The little beasts also are used for trips around up over the mountain and are used to carry pack, for the many camping parties which set out ln the mornings practically every day for the woods. Mr. and Mrs. Whipple, of Portland, and the Rev. and Mrs. D. A. Thompson, of Portland, have established a com fortable camp on the meadows and are enjoying real country life by the sea shore and near the woods and moun tains. C. H. Gilbert, of Portland. arrived Saturday, to spend a few day. at the cottage occupied by a party of Reed College people, chaperoned by Mr.. Gil bert. One party, which at luncheon at the Elk Creek Hotel, included Mrs. M. Loulsson. Mrs. 8ol Hirsch and Mrs. I. N. Fleischner. Mr. and Mrs. Phil Blumauer also viewed the beauties of the beach from an auto. Another merry party which came over from Seaside and took In Cannon Beach, later lunclfng at the Elk Creek Hotel, was composed of Mrs. Dom J.
