ABATE’s auction, spaghetti feed to aid Food Bank The North Coast Chap- ter of ABATE of Oregon Inc. holds its 26th annual Spaghetti Dinner and Auction, starting at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Astoria Moose Lodge, 420 17th St. The cost for adults is $10 per person; for children age 12 and younger, the cost is $3. Pro- ceeds from this event bene¿t local food banks. “Each year the Spaghet- ti Dinner and Auction, along with several other events we stage, generate several thou- sand dollars for donations to the Clatsop Community Ac- tion Regional Food Bank,” said chapter member Al Jaques. “We are very proud of our efforts over the past many years in supporting the great work by the Clatsop Com- munity Action Food Bank to assist those when they need help.” Donations of auction items can be given to any North Coast Chapter member or brought to the Moose Lodge. St. Mary Star of the Sea The Catholic Daughters’ third An- nual Music Fest and Silent Auction is being held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the St. Mary, Star of the Sea School auditorium, 1411 Grand Ave. The event features the Knappa Marimba Band and acoustic folk music. This event is open to the public. Auction items include an antique record player and a washer. Two raf- Àes are also being held, and there is free food.
