The cost of such improvement shall
be paid by the property owners ben
efitted thereby, according to the city
charter and payment shall be made
from the respective improvement
funds.
The Council reserves the right to
reject any or all bids.

drews Construction Co., and the City
Council has set Saturday the. 20th day
of May 1922, at 7:30 o'clock P. M.,
when the acceptance of said street
will be considered by the Council.

foresters on the 23,072,793 acres of
national forest lands in Washington
and Oregon, 1206 forest fires occurred
during the year 1921. Of this num
ber 469 fires, or 39, per cent, were
started bl lightning, which no man

highest number was 434, or 36 per
cent of the total, and these were due
to careless, thoughtless, or ignorant
campers, mostly our own people.
