Kids’ Fun Day
Looking for a fun FREE activity

Sisters Church of the Nazarene
will host a game day geared
for ages 4 to 10 on Thursday,
July 23 from 1 to 3 p.m. The
church is at 67130 Harrington
Loop Rd., off Gist Road. Kids
will enjoy the giant slip-n-slide,
water balloon launcher and
other fun water games if it’s
warm, and plenty of dry games,
too, with a scavenger hunt and
more! Parents are welcome to
stay, or may drop off the kids

204th Army Band Concert
All are invited to a FREE
concert at Fir Street Park on
Sunday, July 26 at 1 p.m. when
small ensembles of the 204th
Army Band will perform. The
concert includes the Brass
Monkey Brass Band, the 204th
Rock Band and Jazz Combos,
and the Brass and Woodwind

Old-Time Radio Show
Come enjoy Sisters Classic
Old-Time Radio Experience
(SCORE) at Sisters Community

7 p.m. The players will perform
two live-radio broadcasts from
Gunsmoke and The Adventures

sound effects will be created

Work Day on Trails
Sisters Trails Alliance has
a work day scheduled for
Sunday, July 26. Anyone in
the community is invited to
help maintain trail tread at 900
Camp trailhead and work on
portions of the Peterson Ridge
Trail. Meet at the SPRD parking
lot at 9 a.m. to carpool to
areas. Please bring water, lunch
or snacks, gloves, sturdy shoes,
etc. Sponsored by Eurosports,
volunteers will meet there after

The City of Sisters is accepting
applications for one “in-city”
and one “out-of-city” volunteer
to serve on the Sisters City
Parks Advisory Board (3-year
terms). The Board advises the
City Council on acquisition,
development, maintenance
and preservation of public
parks, trails and open spaces.
The Board of seven members
typically meets once a month.
Applications are online at

10K Challenge, Run
to the Top of Black Butte!
Sisters Kiwanis is holding
a 10K run to benefi t club
scholarships and community
service projects. The 10K race
up Black Butte on Saturday,
September 19 will have 3,200
feet of elevation gain and is
limited to 200 runners. Register
